|Fitness Statement||I am pretty new to running. At this point I am running four days a week. Three days vary between 3 and 5 miles and I am up to 10 miles on the fourth day. I lift weights 2 days a week and bicycle one day. I think at this point I am better shape than I have ever been. I started getting serious about running at the first of February this year. My wife and I are doing this program together, which has made it a lot of fun and we can provide each other support when it gets tough. My wife and I have both taken off about 18 pounds since we started. |
The first I really ran was about three years ago when I did a couple of adventure races with a team of friends. Before that I had done quiet a bit of road biking and some mountain biking. I enjoy kayaking (no huge water) and skiing in the beautiful Colorado Mountains.
Being fit makes everything easier, and improves my quality of life in many ways. I try to get my workouts done in the morning when possible to get a great start to the day and boost my energy.
