There are so many great runners in the world and we will be providing information on them. We will be adding more every day. To find someone, just type in their name in the search. For right now, we are mostly listing runners who have placed in the top three or have won their age-group in at least two races selected as a Best Road Race.
We need your help to keep our profiles up todate. By clicking the update link at the bottom of the profile you can update the profile. Once it is reviewed it will go live. You can also update or add a photo. Thanks for your help.

Joan Benoit Samuelson is an American marathon runner who won gold at the 1984 Summer Olympics in Los Angeles, the year that the women's marathon was introduced. As a result, she was the first-ever women's Olympic marathon champion. In April 2011, Joan competed in the Boston Marathon, completing the course in 2:51:29 and placing 1st in her age group. Benoit resides in Freeport, Maine. She is featured on the Nike+ iPod system as one of the congratulatory voices, along with others including Lance Armstrong. Benoit and husband Scott Samuelson have two children, daughter Abby and son Anders.
