The Double Road Race is the only running event with a halftime.  The second leg (the 5k) starts 1:45 after the start of the 10k leg.  This means runners have between 1:15 to 15 minutes to recovery before the start of the second part of the compeition.  Massage, hydration, nutrition, foam rollers and strides seem to be the most popular recovery activities.  And of course there are always time for photos too.   Photos by Catherine Cross
