This was the first of six  Do the Double Training Runs we are going to hold.  Then we will be more ready to run the San Jose Double Road Race August 24.  We meet at Forbes Mill in Los Gatos, CA (8am Sunday).  We did a warmup lead by Amanda (Double Operations Manager) and then we set up three training groups.  Group one would do a long run (13.1 miles) lead my Michael, group two would run out 30 minutes and then return (however far you could make) lead by Bob and group three ran out 15 minutes before returning lead by Amanda.  30 minutes after the second group finished, we did our second run which was going out 15 minutes and returning.  By this point the half marathoners were finishing.  Thanks to Christine Kennedy from Athletic Performance for being our sponsor.  And to Proanox would supplied the drink during our "halftime."  Twenty runners participated in our first Training Run.  There is no cost to join us.  We meet at Forbes Mills or Athletic Performance in Los Gatos Sundays 8am.  Join us...photos by Catherine Cross
