I ran on grass today ( the surface ) ,
it was great to land on a soft surface,
I need to do this more often.

10 miles on The Stevens Creek Trail, it's paved, 4.75 miles long, it goes through Mt. View, CA, out to the S.F.
Bay, no cars to deal with, not a lot of
shade, often windy at the more scenic
northern part, the baylands marsh
area, overall great.

run I like this trail...we have so many great trails around in this area.

1 mile warm up, 9.5 miles at a little
faster than marathon pace, 1 mile
cool down. Temps in the low 70's.
It was a good run for me.

run What is your marathon pace these days? Nice weekend for running....
Bob Anderson 4/21/14 8:35 am
run Probably 7:15, yesterdays run was at about 7 minutes per mile.

A little over 3 hours of running, mostly in the woods at G.P.
( grandpa pace )

run That's a long run. How many miles did you cover?
Bob Anderson 3/3/14 7:33 am
run I don't know the mileage, I'll guess 19.
Tim McMenomey 3/3/14 9:29 am

Treadmill tempo workout, 46 minutes total, 25 minutes at tempo effort. Short and to the point.

run I have never gotten into treadmill training but I know it works. When is your next race?
Bob Anderson 3/1/14 6:28 pm
run Treadmill running is boring, but the incline feature is great. Next races, DSE 5K in S.F., March 9, maybe The Oakland Running Festival Half Marathon March 23. ( it costs too much, $95 )
Tim McMenomey 3/1/14 9:03 pm
run That's a lot of money to run a half. But it is a good course and I am sure it costs lots to get permits etc. On the other hand DSE races are only $5.
