Comments | I like your idea of getting people off the couch and help them to enjoy running. As a nation we will be healthier and our healthcare costs will be down. Keep up the good work! |
Fitness Statement | I am a late bloomer. I was 63 when I started running. I have not stopped since. I have run marathons on all seven continents. I love to combine running with travel to exotic places. Sometimes I still dream of improving my PRs but it is getting more difficult. I run everything from 1 mile to 50 miles, preferably on trails. To keep the old body going I am doing cross training (core, spinning, yoga). |

Labor Day is when the annual Mt. Tam Hill Climb takes place. Start at the Depot in Mill Valley and find the shortest way up to the Lookout at Mt. Tam East Peak (about 2750 ft). Then run down the old railroad grade back to MV
I ran the Tamalpa Headlands 50k on Saturday. Challenging but beautiful course although part of the beauty was hidden by our typical early morning summer fog. This well-organized race is back to its old glory under co-RD Tim and Diana Fitzpatrick.
My enjoyment was somewhat tempered by the fact that I kissed the ground not just once but three times. Just could not stay on my 2 feet. I was not even overly tired. Just cruising along and before I knew I had caught a rock or a root and found myself flat on my face. Anyone with good advice how to stay on my two feet???
two questions:
1) can I enter 2 activities, like a run and a gym/yoga class on the same day?
2) If I forgot to make an entry can I only go as far back as yesterday?
