Double Road Race...the race that loves and embraces you!
Post Image

by David Prokop

Never before has there ever been a race such as this!

A glittering gem of an event with so many facets that reflect its uniqueness as well as its broad appeal – for the Double Road Race™ indeed has something for everyone!

A world-class race, yet a family fun event at the same time. A serious competition and challenge for serious runners, a fun event for recreational runners. A home on the roads for everyone from the highly competitive to the easygoing casual. A race split into two parts. An opportunity for social interaction and camaraderie during the recovery break unlike anything you can experience in any other race. Young and old, families and teams can run together – in an event that is as much a process and strategic puzzle to work through as it is a footrace with purely physical demands.  Cash prizes for those who do well, the pure joy of participation for those who put the unique participatory experience of the Double first, rather than the competitive aspect first.

Whatever part of the running universe you occupy, whatever your age, ability level or approach to the primal, natural, instinctive act of running (ever watch two- and three-year olds running around the house?), the Double Road Race has something for you!

If you’re a recreational runner reaching a mental saturation point with regular races and are looking for something different, unique and innovative – or are simply looking to broaden your racing experience – you’ve come to the right race!

If you’re a serious competitive runner seeking to challenge yourself in terms of your fitness level, your tactical, racing and pacing ability, you’ve come to the right race! (The Double also happens to be a great training workout.)

Photo:  The Double is the only running event with a halftime featuring the recovery zone.

And if you’re a Masters runner looking for a competition where the organizers appreciate, welcome and acknowledge you – to the extent that the top prize in the Double Road Race™, the prestigious Double Victory Cup, goes to the runner with the top age-graded performance – you’ve particularly come to the right race!

The Double has been called “the next dimension in racing.” It could also be called running’s great variety road show.

Do the Double! Enjoy the Double! The race that loves and embraces you! What other race gives you a halftime?
